Anticipating the evolving consumer mindset nearly a decade ago, exhibitor Mamata embarked on a pioneering journey into recyclable packaging machines and sustainable solutions for the industry. As a result, Mamata has become a trailblazer in offering sustainable alternatives, providing machinery capable of processing recyclable/mono-materials and biodegradable/compostable materials.
‘This not only aligns with the circular economy agenda, but also addresses the challenge of sourcing clean recycled materials, which are often scarce,’ comments Mamata representative Bhavin Vasavada.
One of Mamata’s groundbreaking offerings is the Terra Pouch Maker, designed specifically to process recyclable/mono-materials with ease. ‘Equipped with the innovative OPTISEAL™ system, the Terra Pouch Maker enables independent control of seal time, seal pressure and temperatures, essential for processing mono-materials efficiently without compromising productivity,’ Bhavin states. He points out that with a platform width of 500mm and the capability to process films up to 200µm, the Terra Pouch Maker ensures high-speed performance while minimising set-up time and material wastage.
Recognising the growing demand from packaging OEMs, Mamata has also pioneered a range of packaging machinery, including horizontal form fill seal (HFFS), preformed pouch fill seal (PFS) and vertical form fill seal (VFFS) machines. These machines, conceptualised with design inputs from the US, cater to the needs of global brands like Kellogg’s, Hershey and Wonderful Pistachios, as well as numerous Indian FMCG brands, particularly in the small packs/quick consumption snack foods/nuts industry.
According to Bhavin, Mamata’s VFFS machines, equipped with the OPTISEAL™ system, offer tool-less changeovers, five servo axes, continuous motion sealing and remote assistance capabilities, making them ideal for processing mono-materials while ensuring food safety with stainless steel (SS 304) construction.
Beyond offering cutting-edge machinery, Mamata is deeply invested in providing comprehensive support services to customers. Training programmes ensure that operators are well equipped to maximise the efficiency of Mamata machines, optimising production processes and minimising downtime. Additionally, Mamata offers maintenance services and spare parts availability, ensuring continuous operation and longevity of equipment.
Furthermore, Mamata recognises the importance of documentation and compliance in the packaging industry. Its validation services ensure that machines adhere to international standards, providing customers with peace of mind regarding quality and regulatory compliance. ‘By offering a holistic approach to customer support, Mamata strives to build long-term partnerships that drive mutual success and sustainability,’ Bhavin enthuses.
By leveraging advanced technology and a commitment to environmental responsibility, Mamata is poised to shape the future of efficient packaging. Additionally, by embracing innovation and environmental stewardship, Mamata is not only meeting the demands of today’s market, but also paving the way for a more sustainable future.
