The report highlights that the need for short-run production of a wide range of applications will increase for commercially printed materials such as books, direct mailers, brochures and catalogues.
Similarly, it notes that commercial printers will experience increased demand for promotional materials from the retail, food and beverage industries. ‘Retail businesses that understand their target markets are still including print advertising as part of their overall marketing strategy,’ the researchers state.
They also anticipate that printers servicing the advertising segment will witness an increase in popularity of soft signage such as banners, five metre wide (or less) prints and more straightforward signs.
Additionally, they believe there could be significant advertising print growth resulting from leading fashion brands expanding the current base of over 1 300 eco-efficient store formats to all of their stores.
