According to marketing and sales director Elke Brink, ColorScreen offers a complete screen engraving service, from artwork to a ready-to-print screen in rotary and flat versions to suit the press types available in the Southern African market. The company’s experience enables it to work out the repro requirements and transfer the images to both screen types. It can, for instance, deliver a complete, ready-to-use flatbed screen from the artwork supplied for the Digicon Series 3, ABG’s flagship printing press.
The engraving service covers both RotaMesh® and RotaPlate® screens from SPGPrints®, which are suitable for applications ranging from coarse, tactile effects to fine linework and text down to a three-point size.
ColorScreen supplies a re-useable, seamless nickel RotaMesh® screen as a cylinder designed for integration with SPGPrints®’ printing modules. RotaMesh® screens can be re-engraved and used for as many as 20 different jobs. For non-SPGPrints®’ printing units, it supplies an engraved RotaPlate® nickel screen that printers can assemble.
ColorScreen, ensures a fast, local supply of rotary and flat screens and related consumable products, plus a screen engraving service to label printers across Southern Africa, without import delays.
‘With over 35 years’ experience in representing leading printing machine and consumable suppliers, the company also provides technical consultancy, training and a point of contact for installation of SPGPrints®’ machine systems,’ Elke concludes.
