Products for the beverage sector included a new-generation modular PE labeller with three self-adhesive label stations including a U-shaped tax label (sold to a spirits producer) as well as the CFT Comac can-filler and seamer, which, according to Lars is ‘gaining popularity among craft breweries, wine and spirit producers’.
The company featured Wipotec inspection equipment, including a wash down checkweigher. ‘Another highlight was an integrated track and trace system for 2D codes,’ comments Lars.
For primary packaging, USS Pactech presented the SN FM050 high-performance horizontal pouch filler for stand-up pouches with zippers, which can run recyclable mono-material. ‘Our Italian partner PFM showcased a compact vertical bagger, and from Germany, we also had Grunwald participating with a rotary cup-filler.’
For perishable products, USS Pactech presented a Supervac belt-type vacuum machine with shrink tank for fresh meat cuts.
The highlight at the USS Pactech stand was the sale of a Variovac thermoformer, sold to a cheese packer in Cape Town.
