Back in 1994, the late Basil Morkel was a director of a prominent Cape Town printing company and his son Jerome had recently completed his financial education. Their dream was to work together in a business that could be crafted into a significant force for the benefit of future generations of Morkels.
Playing on the word ‘tandem’ with its connotation of ‘in harness’ or ‘together’, they chose the name Tandym Print for their enterprise. Over the next 21 years, this name has tied in with the company’s pay-off line ‘Creating Impressions Together’, underlining the strong link between the Tandym team and their customers.
From that chrysalis has emerged a butterfly with strong wings – today’s Tandym Print – impressive by anybody’s standards. Clearly the 1994 dream has come true.
