Rhodes is a contemporary brand that aims to delight consumers by always offering more – whether it’s improved quality ingredients or fresh packaging ideas.
Known for quality, innovation and convenience, Rhodes has now launched its latest 100% fruit juice range in long-life cartons that allow the retention of the true flavour of the fruit, without the need for preservatives or added sugar.
Rhodes Food Group (RFG), the manufacturer of Rhodes, and long associated with South Africa’s fruit industry, is locally and internationally respected for its high quality canned fruit. ‘It just made sense for us to launch our own range of juices, given our strong vertical integration in fruit and our knowledge base in fruit processing, which allows us to add further value through our new 100% fruit juice range,’ explans RFG’s commercial director Richard Phillips.
Made for people who love great tasting juice, the range includes the following flavours: Red Grape, Apple, Orange, Tropical, Cranberry, Guava, Mango, Pineapple, Litchi, Tomato, Ruby Grapefruit and Mango & Orange. And capping it all, an exciting Strawberry & Banana flavour has arrived in time to add a splash of newness to the coming summer months.
The Tomato, Mango, Strawberry & Banana, Grapefruit and Apple flavours have a low GI (Glycaemic Index) and are endorsed by Diabetes South Africa.
Richard Phillips continues, ‘Consumers will love the new 100% fruit juice range. It tastes good and quenches thirst. It can be enjoyed as is, frozen as ice-lollies, drunk as smoothies or used as refreshing mixers.’
The long-life packaging format means consumers can buy a range of flavours to keep in the pantry, ready to be used when needed. Only once the pack is opened does it have to be refrigerated.
Available at select retailers countrywide, Rhodes 100% fruit juices are available in two-litre, one-litre and 200ml cartons. The latter is the perfect size for lunch boxes and for those on the go.
The two-litre pack is produced by Nampak Liquid Cartons. Printed UV flexo on the company’s CPS (Canadian Primographic Systems) press at its Isithebe plant, the stunning graphics bring the fruit to realistic life for a great on-shelf presence.
As Nampak Liquid Cartons sales director, Michelle Stead, sums up: ‘It’s with great pride that the new two-litre Rhodes fruit juice range is launches in the Pure-Pak carton at the same time as Pure-Pak celebrates its centenary. This iconic globally-recognised pack, with its emotional benefits of functionality and food safety, gives products a premium appeal for stand out on-shelf.’
