Over the last 23 years, Myles has gained valuable experience in the packaging machinery sector, most recently at Pakmatic, representing leading international pharmaceutical and cosmetics machinery manufacturers such as Marchesini and Brevetti CEA. He has been instrumental in establishing and co-ordinating numerous turnkey projects with prominent global brand owners such as Adcock Ingram, Specpharm and Columbia Pharmaceuticals, to name but a few.
‘At the beginning of this year, Gary and I were offered the opportunity to take over Pakmatic’s pharmaceutical and cosmetics agencies, concentrating on supplying machinery and spares in southern Africa,’ Myles explains. ‘We jumped at the chance and I’m happy to say that since our launch in March the business has gone from strength to strength!’
With his wealth of customer-facing experience, Myles handles sales, while Gary oversees the administrative and financial functions. They’ve also employed Lukas Appel, a Marchesini-trained technical engineer, to help with installations, back-up and general technical support.
Besides handling sales of machinery and spares for the Marchesini and Brevetti CEA brands, MGSA also represents Luperini, Ozaf, Boato Pack, Bertolinkemo, Vangaurd, Blister-Omar, Unifill, B&D Italia and Klenzaids.
