‘The new film extruder is part of our evolution,’ states sales director, Jason Bennett. ‘We’ve recently received enquiries and orders for PP bag grades and it made sense to start making them ourselves, instead of relying on other suppliers,’ he adds. ‘The extruding equipment comes from one of our long-term suppliers and we’re very confident of its capabilities and quality levels.’
The investments don’t stop there though. Easitape has also purchased and installed a four-colour 800mmwide press as well as five bag-making machines.
‘In terms of equipment we now have a full-house, which means we can get working on some great market opportunities,’ continues Jason. ‘Although we’re still supplying predominantly non-printed stock, we’re seeing a significant growth in demand for printed bags and tapes. Several customers can see good marketing opportunities with these media, at the fraction of the cost of some more traditional advertising routes; others are using printed tapes and bags in addition to their current marketing strategies.’
Since Easitape has gained control over the entire production process, efficiency has improved and quality consistency has never been better. With the flexibility to produce film grades from 30 to 80?m, Easitape is now regarded as a one-stop-shop for customers’ entire range of bag and tape requirements.
‘Most importantly, we’re able to provide both standard and customised bags for almost any application, which makes us much more flexible in customers’ eyes. We’re able to collaborate freely and create business solutions without relying on a third party,’ states Jason. ‘Our lead times are radically reduced and customers can rely on our renowned personal service approach every time,’ he concludes
