Presenting Labelcote’s latest offerings were Mervyn Genende, general manager; Larry Welcher, chairman; and Tomas Rink, owner/chairman of Italian company, Ritrama.
KZN branch manager, Kevin Meyer, oversees operations, assisted by Samantha Gulle, senior sales consultant, who is based in Johannesburg and handles external sales, and Sadheshni Govendor, in charge of internal sales and administration in KZN.
The company’s entire range of labelstock products is available from the new facility, which also offers in-house slitting/rewinding and a dedicated customer delivery service.
The Labelcote entourage then headed to Cape Town for a successful, informative event with more than 50 Western Cape customers. Among guests at this event were representatives of leading label printers such as SA Litho, Collotype, Paul Frey, Knight Source and Triocorp. Both functions provided an opportunity for customers to learn more about Labelcote’s national operation and Ritrama’s self-adhesive labelstock offerings.
Labelcote has an exclusive agreement with Ritrama to supply its wide range of self-adhesive label solutions and digital reel stock applications (PPM, Jul10, p63). Described by Tomas Rink as ‘a family company with a global reach’, Ritrama is an internationally recognised manufacturer and supplier with production facilities across the globe. Established in 1962, the company focuses on providing a consistent quality product at a competitive price, offering advanced technical support and comprehensive laboratory and testing facilities. ‘Building consolidated global partnerships is essential to the growth of our brands in various markets,’ says Tomas. ‘Our relationship with Labelcote is proving exceptionally positive, with 20-million square metres of material sold into South Africa during 2010.’
