PERFECT CHILLING WITH LATEST INK TECHNOLOGY

Thermotech is a water-based thermochromic flexographic or gravure ink suitable for absorbent papers and board and ideal for applications such as labels, tags, tickets and boards. It brings reversible colour changing properties to printed items. The print is fully coloured 3° below the activation temperature and colourless above the activation temperature; activation temperatures can range between minus 10°C and plus 69°C.

Thermotech ink allows plenty of flexibility in application and optimisation in the appearance of printed articles.

Standard qualities of Thermotech include good scuff and rub resistance (if the printed product is going to be exposed to humid conditions then a suitable varnish or laminate may be required). It also offers good adhesion and over printability (it can be overprinted with UV offset, UV flexo and UV screen), colour dependant lightfastness (inherently susceptible to damage by UV lighting), fair lightfastness under normal retail storage conditions and minimum exposure to UV light is required. Printing speeds in excess of 180m/min can also be achieved.
