ABG’s shrink sleeve machines automate the production process

‘As part of ABG’s shrink sleeve seaming offering, the Shrink Sleeve SR is designed to meet the high productivity demands of the labelling market,’ says Del Wiggill, sales director of CSM Machine Sales, the local representative of ABG. ‘Using a unique solvent application system with a motorised roller system, the SR provides high seaming reliability by improving productivity, increasing efficiency, improving product quality and reducing operating costs and waste.’

ABG’s Shrink Sleeve DR is a bidirectional doctoring machine, which provides label and flexible packaging manufacturers with two working modes: for shrink sleeves, by verifying the correct seaming of the sleeve tube with an air balloon validation system with electronic detection, and for the flexible packaging market, through the inspection, control and doctoring of reels with a web width up to 400mm.

Shrink Sleeve IC (pictured here) is ABG’s new automatic cutting machine for shrink sleeves. ‘It provides transversal cutting for formats, transversal pre-cutting for formats or reels, as well as rewinding. The movement of the rollers and the cut are electronically synchronised, which optimises movement and improves productivity,’ explains Del.
