I’ve just read your Festive 2011 edition. Wow! Has it really been five years? You have done wonders. While all other publications are bemoaning ‘shrinking ad budgets’ and ‘the death of print media’, you, Susi and your team are proving that when you do a consistently good job in every area of publishing, everything else falls into place. Are there any other trade publications that average 114 pages per edition? And, while other editors claim ‘people don’t have time to read features’ and that ‘600-word articles are wordy enough for the 21st century reader’, happily you (and VANITY FAIR!) are NOT contributing to the ‘dumbing down’ of readers. And the quality of design, pictures, etc, is equally impressive. Congratulations, Gill. You remain an inspiration to me. (And, while I’d be first in line to buy your book, I don’t expect it to happen soon. I cannot imagine you ever retiring.
