Effective from 1 October, the company will introduce new roles and responsibilities for key members of its team as part of a strategic drive to expand its reach and refine its services.
Mike Atkinson, the current general manager for KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), will transition into a national role as the product manager for prepress, hardware and software. With his extensive industry experience, Mike’s new role will focus on broadening Kalideck’s graphics footprint across southern Africa and export markets. He will report directly to Nick Gillings, the company’s commercial director.
Mike’s promotion marks a significant step for Kalideck as it aims to strengthen its product portfolio and tap into new market opportunities. By focusing on prepress and hardware, Mike is expected to play a vital role in enhancing Kalideck’s technical and service offerings, further cementing the company’s position as a key player in the industry.
To ensure a seamless transition and ongoing growth in the KZN region, Linda Soni has been promoted to regional general manager. No stranger to the market, Linda will be responsible for overseeing the region’s operational, administrative and health and safety functions while focusing on growing the KZN customer base. She will report to Romano Daniels, Kalideck’s sales and marketing director.
Both appointments reflect Kalideck’s commitment to fostering internal talent while continuously improving its service and product offerings.
To ensure a smooth handover, transitional arrangements will be in place between October and December. These measures are designed to support both Mike and Linda in their new roles, ensuring they step into their respective positions seamlessly.
Kalideck’s leadership changes come at a time when the company is focused on expanding its presence in the competitive print and packaging sectors. With a strong leadership team in place and a renewed focus on innovation, the company is poised for continued growth across southern Africa and beyond.
Kalideck’s management team has expressed confidence in the abilities of both Mike and Linda and wishes them success in their new roles.
