The new models are the latest, turbocharged iterations of the established JV, CJV and TS 100 series models.
The 330 flagship range, Adam advises, incorporates Mimaki Engineering’s technological expertise built over more than 20 years to deliver beautiful image quality, high productivity and high-value-added functions.
‘As a company renowned for its high-colour range, Mimaki’s newest printers achieve high resolution, durable prints for both the sign and graphics and textile industries,’ he notes.
‘Having relooked at the hardware design, Mimaki also enhanced chassis rigidity and improved the accuracy of droplet placement by up to 650% through innovative waveform control technology that distinguishes these machines from their predecessors. New drop technology that suppresses banding also assures customers of enhanced image quality and productivity.
‘This is based on Mimaki’s weaving dot technology, which changes the order of ink droplet placement depending on the printing conditions. It avoids streaks or uneven printing due to printhead or adjustment issues. Mimaki remote access is also standard across the series, allowing users to remotely access the machine and check the operation status.’
The JV330 is a mid- to high-end eco-solvent inkjet printer that complements the entry-level 100 series and standard 300 and 300 plus series. The CJV330 is a mid- to high-end printer (print and cut) that will find favour among customers looking for a change of pace from the entry-level 150 series and standard 300 and 300 plus series.
Both deliver the standard of colour required for indoor and outdoor sign graphics through the new Deep Color Natural input profile, which promises vivid, striking solid colours, natural skin tones, deep reds and neutral greys. With printing speeds of up to 21m²/h in standard mode and four colours, order lead times are reduced. Built-in cleaning and monitoring features improve workflow and facilitate longer running times.
Both models feature a newly designed unwinding system that enables simultaneous loading of three rolls of media, greatly reducing time and labour. The precise XY slitter provides inline X-axis and Y-axis sheet-fed cutting, removing unwinding and rough cutting from the workflow for streamlined post-processing.
The TS330 is a water-based dye sublimation inkjet printer for textiles that runs at speeds of up to 69m²/h in draft mode with four colours and up to 135m²/h in fast mode. An improved conveyance mechanism and renewed usability provide constant quality and stable printing.
