‘We’re proud of the impact the Performance Series has made on the industry,’ states Paul Brauss. ‘Mark Andy continues to search for ways to supersede our customers’ expectations and the Performance Series has done just that. The simplicity of operation, rapid changeovers and drastically reduced waste have proven that a capital investment in new technology can be profitable,’ he adds.
‘To receive this award from the FTA is an honour for Mark Andy,’ remarks Jeff Feltz. ‘Our design, engineering, and manufacturing teams have worked diligently to produce a product that hits on the key requirements of today’s converter. Our print experts and customer service teams are following up on Performance Series installations to make sure customers are achieving optimum efficiency and productivity with their investment. This award is a true compliment to our entire organisation.’
The Performance Series was introduced to the market at Labelexpo Europe 2009 and since its introduction more than 70 have been sold worldwide, one of which – a nine-colour P7 press – is in operation at First Impression Labels in Durban (PPM, Feb 2011, p73), of which local agent, Paul Bouwer of SArepco is particularly proud. He also reports that more of these presses are on order for delivery to South African label converters in the later part of the year.
Those planning to visit Labelexpo Europe 2011, to be held in September in Brussels, will be able to view three models in the Performance Series being demonstrated on the Mark Andy stand.
