Founded in 2016, RAM Labels has skyrocketed to prominence in the Cape labelling market. With over 20 years of industry experience, owner Thomas Veenstra attributes the company’s success to its high performance across the board. ‘From inspection and evaluation to execution, we ensure the end result exceeds our customers’ expectations,’ he says.

Meet the leadership talent
Thomas recently appointed Jon Williams as head of sales, effective 1 August. Jon is a force of nature, with more than 20 years’ experience working in sales and the printing sector. ‘We’re thrilled to announce Jon as the latest addition to our ranks,’ Thomas enthuses. ‘Jon is a natural leader with vast experience, energy and charisma. We’re excited to welcome him into the family and look forward to the new chapter awaiting RAM Labels.’
Thomas and Jon met many years ago and immediately hit it off. ‘Jon is energetic, competitive, has a high work ethic and is passionate about building lasting relationships with customers. We’re extremely excited to have him onboard,’ Thomas adds.
The rest of RAM Labels’ dream team includes the experienced duo of Anthea Da Silva, head of operations and Jodene Martin, head of production. Anthea is confident that the new team’s collaborative spirit will drive the company to new heights. ‘Joining an already remarkable team, Jon will elevate our innovative and forward-thinking approach. With this addition, we’re poised to achieve greater heights in our industry,’ she states.
Jodene adds: ‘Team RAM is renowned for its excellence and creativity and Jon’s expertise will propel us to break new barrier.’
Ready to relish the opportunity
Eager to get started, Jon believes he can make a real difference at RAM Labels. ‘I’ve always wanted to offer a bespoke service and experience for customers, especially in the wine and spirits sector. These are premium products and it’s crucial to give their brands shelf appeal and make them feel special. Every customer deserves that personal touch. For me, it’s about creating an atmosphere where every customer feels like a VIP. RAM Labels provides the opportunity to do things the way I’ve always envisioned.’
Jon comes from a strong printing pedigree. His late father, Doug, was the first machine minder to run a full-colour press in South Africa. He eventually became director of Trident Press in Cape Town. ‘Printing’s in my blood,’ Jon quips. ‘The smell of ink still gets me excited.’ Beyond printing, Jon is an accomplished pro rally driver who competed in the World Rally Championship and achieved SA colours for the sport. Driven to be the best, Jon is ready to do whatever it takes to win.
