The company has introduced 72Hpw as an economical wash-off adhesive. Thanks to a special recipe, the production costs of this pressure-sensitive adhesive are almost at the same level as a conventional permanent standard pressure-sensitive adhesive. This makes it possible to generate pure PET flakes using common industrial washing processes, without annoying residues.
This pressure-sensitive adhesive also benefits from the comprehensive wash-off know-how that HERMA has now acquired in this area such as value in terms of both the important initial adhesion, the tack and the wash-off rate. Compared to the more expensive wash-off pressure-sensitive adhesives that have already been introduced, 72Hpw comes very close. HERMA now offers an interesting entry-level solution that can already cover a wide range of end uses. This should convince label users who previously refrained from making the switch to do so for economic reasons.
Ed’s note: HERMA is represented and distributed in South Africa by Bordic.
