BOBST introduced the DIGITAL EXPERT 340, a roll-to-roll press operating at 65m/min (with the ability to upgrade to 100m/min). The press features BOBST’s 1 200×1 200dpi inkjet cluster technology for enhanced performance and the highest versatility.
.On the DIGITAL MASTER DM 340 presented at the stand BOBST also unveiled a new module enabling high-speed, high-opacity white printing, reaching up to 72% opacity at 100m/min and 80% at 80m/min. The latest incarnation of the well-proven Bobst M6 Flexo press also wowed visitors with several live demonstrations taking place daily where this machine changed jobs fully automatically in under a minute with less than 10 meters of start-up waste then ramping up to a production speed of 200 m/min while maintaining 100% perfect register throughout.
With AutoSet Digital, Esko introduced an end-to-end solution that automates AVT print inspection of digitally printed labels from prepress through to on-press and finishing. This inspection workflow for digitally printed labels combines the accuracy and speed of the AVT Helios 100% print inspection systems with the automation of AVT AutoSet Digital, empowering operators to automatically upload and switch between jobs.
Heaford marked a milestone celebration at Labelexpo 2023 celebrating 40 years of excellence in prepress efficiency and one of the highlights was the highly successful Top Speed Mounter competition, which drew crowds of eager participants and spectators. Contestants from around the world competed in a test of precision and speed, demonstrating their skills in mounting and checking a plate on the Semi-Automatic FTS 500 or 750 plate mounter
