Rotocon brings GapControl to South Africa

Shortly after its North American premier at Labelexpo Americas, Wink’s GapControl is now being introduced to the South African labelling market by Rotocon.

In a nutshell, GapControl allows a precise, doublesided adaptation of the gap (and thus the liner strike) for various applications and materials. The advantages of GapControl compared to other systems are mainly rooted in its high stability, which allows problem-free cutting-through at high production speeds.

The wide range of materials and ever-thinner liners make special demands on all die-cutting components. Adjustable anvil rollers can be very helpful in this context, as they permit a variable adaptation of the gap to meet different requirements, allowing the operator to manipulate the liner strike by correcting the cutting depth in both direction – whether too strong or not strong enough. An adjustable anvil also allows the use of multiple label materials with the same flexible die, and to a certain extent can compensate for wearing.
